Ive seen them at 99 Ranch but hesitate to buy it as I dont know how it is raised and neither do the people who work at the store. If it is conventionally raised then wouldnt all the bad stuff we associate with this be concentrated in the liver? Perhaps sheep or lamb's organs are okay to buy if they are from Australia or NZ as they raise their animals on grass?

We have a 99 ranch here, I don't know if it's a chain. Or the answer to your question.

If you go to their deli section you will sometimes find free range chicken (or at least they say it's free range). However, even that is full of MSG.

Asian markets around the Midwest where I live sell foods that make SAD look HAPPY, so I can't imagine the owners putting too much effort into sourcing quality meat. Definitely not conclusive, but it's probably a reasonable indicator.

Not all the bad bits from feed will concentrate in the liver, but yes, many will.

If you really want to be sure about the food quality, ask the butcher manager at the store where he sources the meat, then call the farms and ask the farmers directly. It's usually a quick and easy process, and the farmers or their reps are more than happy to talk about it.
