I have a 1 liter yellow "life is good" bpa-free nalgene bottle. I drink so much water that a running joke between some friends is "where's my water?" my water bottle is like my child. I'm surprised no one's stole it as a joke.

Im deployed so there's water everywhere! I cant ever stop drinking it! Ive only been up 4 hours and I had 6 cups of water already going on 8.

When I'm at home I use a Nalgene bottle. It's easier to keep track of my water intake like that :)

I used to use big Braggs ACV glass bottles at home. Now I use exclusively Camelback Podium bottles. No worry of breakage, no spills, no lid/top to fiddle with, easy to grab and go being that they fit in standard cup holders. They are the bomb :)

I use a stainless steel canteen and it goes with me everywhere. I'm seriously never without it. I've been though a few of them over the years and I've liked some more than others.

The Kleen Kanteen that I had was my least favorite because I never liked the size of the mouth piece; it was too big to get my mouth around, and too small to sip from so I'd inevitably drip water all down my front every time I tried to drink.

The Sigg (not stainless, but coated aluminum) was just too questionable with it's secret recipe inner coating that erodes and probably poisons the water.

I liked my Earthlust, but the cap doesn't have enough threading and it pops off by itself all the time.

The one I use now is from Ice Age and it's almost perfect.

Most days I use a stainless steel bottle when I'm hiking I use Platypus bladders to refill my nalgene bottle.

I have a Sigg which is pretty, but it's too big to fit in the carry pouch on my bag and it doesn't have any way to clip it to anything. So I now have a Nathan BPA free one with a rubber straw top which I quite like.

I like the camelback bottles with the nipple because I can't spill them. I am mostly in front of electronics all day so that is a wonderful feature for someone who is as klutzy as I am.

I like bottles with straws built into the lid, and I have two bottles like that. One is polypropylene from Rubbermaid. The other is no-name brand, BPA-free, hard plastic.

I drive to different sites throughout the day, some may not have filtered water, so I use a Camelback Groove filtered waterbottle - it has a built in Charcoal Filter to keep the fluoride, chlorimines, associated other nasties away.

1 liter stainless steel that I use all day. smaller stainless steel bottle for 1 to 3 coco water/regular water plus sea salt for post strenuous wods. 1.5 liter bottle I use for long road trips.

supposedly "BPA free" plastic bottle for the road bike. steel just doesn't work on bikes.

and straight up toxic plastic camelbaks for my backcountry bags. no better options there unfortunately.

and at home I use a heavy glass 1 liter bottle that used to have organic cream in it.

Plain old classic Nalgene 1L bottles. Not the best, but the easienst nad it kinda feels weird drinking out of anything else since I've used these for so long. I upgraded to the BPA free models a couple years ago, might be time for some new ones.

On the bike, Camelbak Podium bottles are the vessel of choice. Mainly due to the valve, rather than bottle composition. Filled with plain water or occasionally Nuun tablets for hotter days/longer rides.

Around the house or driving, I use a quart canning jar. They're not unbreakable, but they're pretty tough. Maybe a little heavy for biking or hiking, though.

I have a little stainless Kleen Kanteen, a big Sigg, and a medium stainless with what might be called a nipple (?) - it's the pop-up sippy thing. I always keep a straw inside the first two, because I like using straws, and I also like not dumping water all over my facechinneckchest, which is what seems to always happen when I try to drink out of them with my mouth.... yes, I'm special. The small opening of the Sigg is pretty manageable even without a straw though, as compared to the wider ones of KK or god forbid, my old nalgene - what a mess.

What I'm trying to say is I like straws. No wait, what I'm trying to say is they all work, for different reasons. Except the ones that leach. Those are bad.

I start out my day with a big mason/canning jar- usually with tea in it, then refill with water from the fountain at work. It's a bit awkward for me, though, when I'm not in the office, so I've got a couple stainless steel ones and a camelback with the bite-valve straw (because I'm a klutz). I also just got a 2L camelback back-pack thing for hiking- i'm looking forward to actually getting to use it this summer!

I used the Camelbak Better Bottle, which is lexan (same thing as Nalgene bottles), so completely BPA free, and it doesn't hold the smell of anything else you might put in it (lime, lemon, fruit juice, etc.)

Stainless is a better option as there is some evidence that lexan isn't perfect (I know, I know... a plastic based product that's not perfect? Whoda thunk?). Stainless is completely inert. Camelbak makes the Better Bottle in stainless as well, completely with bitey-straw-valve thingy.

A Braggs Raw Apple Cider Vinegar "With The Mother" 1 Qt. glass bottle. It had an inch of ACV in it when I filled it with water.
