LDL flagged as high at the lab, but my ratio is good.

Only other thing that flagged was my White Cell Count which was 3.6 (range = 4.0-11.00). Dr said follow up in 6 weeks.

CRP was <1 (range 0-5)

I think I remember reading the ratio that Dr H said was most important was the Trig-HDL ratio. Is this right?

Cheers PH'ers
http://paleohacks.com/questions/58780/blood-tests-again/58823#58823 Answer by Andy for Blood Tests (again) Andy 2011-08-17T14:00:11Z 2011-08-17T18:42:15Z
These appear to be fantastic results to me.The 2 biomarkers to look at with regard to CVD risk are Total Chol/HDL and triglycerides. Both are excellent.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/58780/blood-tests-again/58826#58826 Answer by turkeytyme for Blood Tests (again) turkeytyme 2011-08-17T14:03:54Z 2011-08-17T14:03:54Z
I've always heard that the ratio is what matters too. I think also it matters what type of LDL you have, with the large, fluffy type that paleo dieters tend to have being better.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/58780/blood-tests-again/58827#58827 Answer by Jack Kronk for Blood Tests (again) Jack Kronk 2011-08-17T14:06:06Z 2011-08-17T14:06:06Z
Looks real good. Your HDL is almost double your trigs, and your HDL makes up a third of your TC.

What is your diet like Peter?
http://paleohacks.com/questions/58780/blood-tests-again/58898#58898 Answer by Travis Culp for Blood Tests (again) Travis Culp 2011-08-17T18:25:25Z 2011-08-17T18:25:25Z
Keep doing whatever you're doing; these numbers are very good.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/58780/blood-tests-again/58908#58908 Answer by Primordial for Blood Tests (again) Primordial 2011-08-17T19:01:30Z 2011-08-17T19:01:30Z
If you don't mind I throw mine in, too. After more than a decade of eating only crap, then vegetarian (still with only crap), short time raw veganism, then 2 months gluten-free whole foods:

Chol 150

glucose: 90

Trigs 73

HDL 68

LDL 77

Chol/HDL ratio 2.6

CRP 0.1

homocysteine 13.7

vitamin D 7.7

Ok so far? I am eager to see my new results after 5 months lc paleo. I use 20.000 IU vit D per week and cod liver oil. Folate for high homocysteine.
