Dr. Oz wants to know how you manage your diabetes, asthma and other chronic conditions. Who here wants to tell him??

It's a paleo flash mob over there in the comments. All of y'all here at Paleo Hacks are so passionate about this lifestyle. Just want you all to join in :)

I have a feeling Dr. Oz might shut down the question. Everyone is being very civilized, but I don't think he's getting the answers he expected. I just went and added my 2 cents. Someone should take some screenshots of the post!

I apologize for this not being a real question, just wanted to get the word out. Delete it if you must.

I didn't see any SAD answers there because there are no SAD answers to those problems. This pseudo question is useful info!

going through the comments makes me alternately hopeful and sad for people. so many pills. so much sickness. but then the further down you go, the paleos show up and tell these people that there's another way. i hope they're listening...

At a certain point I think anyone unfamiliar with Paleo or anti paleo etc. just tune it out and stops reading the thread. I love all the passion I just wish we could find a better way to bottle it and get the word out. Dr. Oz - I don't see him doing anything outside of CW. For many reason, the biggest being it would be a PR nightmare for him. Did you see all the press on the recent apple juice and arsenic stories hitting the press. :( I know that is not the answer folks to see. I sound so pessimistic. LOL! ;)

I do hope someone reads it and tries something different then what CW tells them!

Well maybe Simpsons and South Park now and then would be OK.

Although... I got aboslutely NO 'likes' even though all the ones areound me at are like 10-15 likes. I feel shunned. :(
...so I got my friend to 'like' my comment for me. I am so lame. :(

But I am really happy to see so many paleo people!!! :D

I was not going to post because I never made it to "chronic conditions" outside of high blood pressure which I still take medicine for - but paleo living has made a tremendous impact in my quality of life and has kept me from getting some of those chronic conditions.

In February when I started eating paleo (it was a diet then, not anymore--it now influences how I approach the world and my place in it), I was 347 pounds. I am now 268. I did the Warrior Dash on January 30 and "ran" it in 55 minutes+. I did another 5K mud run in June and 'ran' it (a little less quotes, a little more actual running) in 36+ minutes.

Paleo gets a bad rap because the outside world views it as binge on meats and fatty foods. My view is more in line with the paleo community (and I hope they'll forgive me for speaking on their behalf): paleo eating is about removing foods that are C.R.A.P. (commercially refined, artificial, or poisonous) from your diet. I don't eat foods that come in boxes or bags. I don't eat grains (especially wheat), bad fats (seed oils), or legumes. I do eat lots of eggs and vegetables, some fruit, and a lot of meat-based protein. I eat far more vegetables now than when I was a "vegetarian" who ate mostly pasta.

Paleo to me also means sleeping, walking and standing more, trying to align my living with the way its meant to be. More time with family, playing, laughing and loving each other.

Prior to paleo, I was headed on a very unhealthy path towards the future. Not anymore.
