So, somewhere on here or at Dr. K's site, in the context of not eating for several hours before bed, he (Dr. K/Quilt) commented that to increase fat burning, you could do some exercise right before bed. He specifically said push-ups, and I may be making up the addition of squats.

At any rate, I've been enjoying reading on the exercise bike right before bed (going slow, not cardio) and then last night decided to do 20 push ups and 20 squats right afterwards.

Easy peasy, right?

But normally if I'm doing body weight reps, I do them every other day (or 3) b/c I know you're supposed to recover.

So my question is...does that small a number of reps require a recovery period if you do it nightly? I find it incredibly relaxing and fell asleep seconds after my head hit the pillow. But I don't want to do it nightly if it's actually counter productive.

It's more therapeutic than anything.

No need to recover after walking, I hope.
