Ive seen several discussions on Paleohacks in regards to that we may need to supplement even optimal diets as A) our soil is depleted and B) we are under more stress and less ideal environments that we evolved to handle. In regards to B) does anyone give themselves a boost using nootropics? Ive tried some years ago and didnt get much benefit but this product looks interesting (ingredients listed on the side of webpage) and is getting good reviews. The casing looks really artificial though and Id probably just make my own mix from smart powders or some other site

Using piracetam daily.

Using hydergine with it from time to time, not always as it might have negative side effects with chronic use (although those are not confirmed, pulmonary fibrosis).

I would use Idebenone if I had source and lots of other things.

DMAE works very nicely, but you have to take it for a while, it's not instant. Now using FocusFactor which contains it and other stuff.

Chocolate/Cocoa and coffee work nicely too.

Over the counter: caffeine, ephedrine, nicotine.

Prescription: Amphetamines, modafinil.

Honorable mention: green tea

Everything else is a waste of money/time/effort. Don't spend time researching nootropics spend time studying.

I always liked selegeline and modafinil seemed a great combo at the time, enabled me to get inhuman amounts of work done. I'm older and hopefully a touch wiser and now wouldn't touch these as they are hairs breadth from amphetamines.

I've found drinking above average amounts of water (~1 gallon per day) and having lots of electrolytes, including potassium, to noticeably put me at a higher state of functioning.

Neuro-Boost Piracetam from Smart Drugs for Thought is the only Nootropic I take. I have never experienced any side effects from this. Actually at higher doses, sounds/colors(typically from high resolutions) become much more electrifying and vibrant. Great for verbal memory boost and enhancement as well. Honestly, I think every student should take this product. It really does support studying and is fun to be on.

I've actually gotten to order through SDFT as Stevin Chang mentioned, however I have been using their Pramiracetam. Along with L-theanine it is pretty much the only supplements I take. I get the choline I need for Pramiracetam to be effective from chicken eggs.

Pramiracetam is similar to Piracetam however has other benefits that Piracetam doesn't have. Personally I have been considering supplementing Piracetam considering its reported benefits concerning the stimulation of the Corpus Callosum (the communicative bridge responsible for sending and receiving information across the two hemispheres of the brain).

Wellbutrin I've found to have a pretty huge impact, without a real high.

I've tried Alpha Brain, ashwaganda, a few others here & there with no noticeable difference.

My roommate loved Alpha Brain.

I like Adderall, but I get strung out real quick on it.

I've been using Alpha Brain for the past couple years, since Joe Rogan started talking about it on his podcast. I honestly think its a pretty great product, the cost is expensive but you will feel a bit more energized, focused and sharper throughout the day. It does help with speech and you will definitely get some pretty crazy lucid dreaming off it, I say try it and see how it goes for you. It is definitely something I could live without, but it doesn't hurt to take it every once in awhile when you have a long day ahead of you and you need a nice pick me up.
