How do you all do it?
http://paleohacks.com/questions/76778/how-do-you-scoop-coco-oil/76780#76780 Answer by Kewpie for How do you scoop coco oil? Kewpie 2011-11-13T04:27:36Z 2011-11-13T04:27:36Z
I'm not sure if you are talking about coconut oil or cocoa butter. If you are talking about coconut oil, I just scoop it out with a spoon, but I have a pretty large jar of it. If you are having that much trouble you can always put the jar in warm water (just hot from the tap is fine) to let it melt a bit and then you can pour some out in liquid form. It melts at 76F, so you don't need a lot of heat to get it softened up.

The same thing should work for cocoa butter, but it melts at a higher temp--around 100F--so you would need hotter water. However, I would think hot water from the tap would still work fine to get it softened enough to make it easier to scoop out of the jar.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/76778/how-do-you-scoop-coco-oil/76787#76787 Answer by Greg for How do you scoop coco oil? In the evening, the heat from cooking dinner warms it enough to make it more easily scoopable. If I need it in the morning, I just pour some hot water into a bowl and put the jar in the bowl till the edges soften enough to use.

Love the ice cube tray idea, though. That's how I store coconut butter in controllable portions.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/76778/how-do-you-scoop-coco-oil/76861#76861 Answer by Royce for How do you scoop coco oil? I would never tell someone to store it there…even in a hot climate. Coconut oil is a tropical oil and it's NATURAL state is in a warm climate and liquid."
