They had more vitamins in it than the ones my OB previously prescribed. No artificial colors or preservatives, and uses a 'whole food' approach. Once I showed them to my OB she approved them.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/80040/prenatal-supplements/80087#80087 Answer by aaa for Prenatal supplements aaa 2011-11-29T16:52:57Z 2011-11-29T16:52:57Z
In my opinion prenatal supplements are not needed at all. Unless if you consume only canned food. We did not take any supplements and baby and mom did not have any issues.

I also question the effectiveness of vitamins. Most are synthetic and even so called "natural" vitamins are far from natural. There is nothing natural in isolating, stabilizing, and packaging vitamins on the industrial scale. Also remember vitamin business is unregulated and anyone can claim anything and those claims are next to impossible to verify. I would instead eat liver, sweetbreads, and other organs which are miles ahead of any commercial vitamins. Again this is simply my personal opinion.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/80040/prenatal-supplements/81373#81373 Answer by beaglz for Prenatal supplements beaglz 2011-12-05T09:19:01Z 2011-12-05T09:19:01Z
I have been taking Garden of Life Vitamin Code Raw Prenatal. I find it to be very tolerable and paleo compatible. It has ginger in it and I don't know if that is the reason, but I haven't puked at all.

http://www.gardenoflife.com/ProductsforLife/THEVITAMINCODEsupsup/MultivitaminFormulas/RAWPrenatal/tabid/1823/Default.aspx
http://paleohacks.com/questions/80040/prenatal-supplements/81496#81496 Answer by maurile for Prenatal supplements maurile 2011-12-06T00:09:28Z 2011-12-06T00:09:28Z
Go to about the 35-minute mark in this Chris Kresser podcast. He says that many prenatal vitamins have too much iodine and iron, and not enough vitamin D or vitamin K. He says it's generally best to try to meet your nutrient needs through food rather than supplements. But he says that if you're looking for a supplement, he recommends one called Nutrient 950, made by Pure Encapsulations. (He also recommends fermented cod liver oil for the DHA, vitamin A and vitamin D, and maybe freeze-dried liver capsules for the folate.)
http://paleohacks.com/questions/80040/prenatal-supplements/181915#181915 Answer by Anthropology for Prenatal supplements Anthropology 2013-02-26T14:18:38Z 2013-02-26T14:18:38Z
I have looked at this one Vitabiotics Pregnacare® Max - http://www.vitabiotics.com/pregnacare/max_formula.aspx the dose is mega conservative.

Not enough Vitamin K, Vitamin D or Magnesium but should have the others barely covered.
