This is problematic when I get out of work late.

If you were faced between doing Tabata and getting to bed at 1030pm, which would you pick? Which is more beneficial?
http://paleohacks.com/questions/84675/tabata-or-sleep/84677#84677 Answer by AndyM for Tabata or Sleep AndyM 2011-12-20T00:12:31Z 2011-12-20T00:12:31Z
Oh boy, where to start? What else are you doing? What else are you eating? Why do you need to go to the gym to run a tabata?

If this is a regular situation, nothing is worth losing an hour of sleep a night for.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/84675/tabata-or-sleep/84678#84678 Answer by g. for Tabata or Sleep g. 2011-12-20T00:14:12Z 2011-12-20T00:14:12Z
Work out at home.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/84675/tabata-or-sleep/84681#84681 Answer by raydawg for Tabata or Sleep raydawg 2011-12-20T00:18:58Z 2011-12-20T00:18:58Z
Sleep now, wake up earlier and hit the gym in the morning. Or workout at home. Instead of the gym membership get yourself a bunch of dumbbells and an adjustable bench and go to town. Or ketlebells or whatever you're into.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/84675/tabata-or-sleep/84683#84683 Answer by Jeff for Tabata or Sleep Jeff 2011-12-20T00:31:26Z 2011-12-20T00:31:26Z
Tabata jump rope!
http://paleohacks.com/questions/84675/tabata-or-sleep/84686#84686 Answer by Glenn for Tabata or Sleep Glenn 2011-12-20T00:46:27Z 2011-12-20T00:46:27Z
No tabata weight training for me fellas.... Tabata is for cardio.

Weight training = lifting heavy shit, so I lift at 90% of 1RM.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/84675/tabata-or-sleep/84695#84695 Answer by Kate for Tabata or Sleep Kate 2011-12-20T01:04:29Z 2011-12-20T01:04:29Z
I would opt for sleep. A workout that late could keep you up even later due to the endorphin and adrenaline rush. I would agree with the suggestion to sleep earlier and get a workout in the next morning.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/84675/tabata-or-sleep/84853#84853 Answer by pbo for Tabata or Sleep pbo 2011-12-20T19:48:28Z 2011-12-20T19:48:28Z
Definitely sleep. I would not want to workout that late and close to you when you goto sleep. I agree, and you should wake up early and workout then.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/84675/tabata-or-sleep/88644#88644 Answer by Chris for Tabata or Sleep Chris 2012-01-08T03:00:58Z 2012-01-08T03:00:58Z
Screw the gym. Sprint in place, do mountain climbers and other bodyweight card exercises for legs. Others have mentioned jump ropes, and you can activate all of your leg muscles with various movements with those. You can do crazy tabatas with kettlebells. All of this equipment is far cheaper than a gym membership in the long run. Get thermals for praise running. This is all coming from a lifelong gym rat. Screw the gym. From didn't need it neither do we :) Oh and get your sleep! This is just as important as the exercise itself.
