It's not anaerobic or even particularly aerobic. It's stretching. If you feel "over-stretched" have a contrast shower after words and don't over eat during. Carb-up for yoga?

http://paleohacks.com/questions/74478/how-much-to-eatHow much to eat?Mike2011-11-02T23:34:19Z2011-11-09T06:04:38Z

What are peoples "rules of thumb" for ad libitum eating? How do you portion food and how do you know when you have had "enough"? I'm a fat guy who has lost a lot of weight and really want to NOT spend my life counting calories but I just don't trust my sense of hunger. I've been trying to but I run into this -

Day 1 - coffee with 1/3 of a cup of heavy cream for breakfast at about 2:30 I have 4-6oz of meat cooked in butter or coconut milk (1-2TB), some homemade fermented veg and some carrots and then supper will be 4-5oz of meat (undrained), some chopped veg (1/2 a pepper, 1/4 onion, handful of chopped tomato) and then maybe 40z of berries with coconut milk or cream for dessert.

If I eat this way I seem to do ok...more or less, though I do get cold hands occasionally and sometimes I seem to get really grumpy and sour. Not consistently though.

Other days my wife and I have time in the morning for breakfast so I'll make us breakfast -

4 eggs, 4 slices of bacon, some random veg and then the wheels come off. No matter what I make, this or high-fat, homemade yogurt and fruit or anything, and I am ravenous all day. I end up eating almost constantly.

I really don't want to be forced to measure in order to not feel like I'm overeating and I really don't want to be the guy who has to carry 5 containers of food in my backpack and be eating constantly. Thoughts? Please?

It takes on that "eggy" texture and should do the trick.

I admit my first thought was "Hamburger" but....

So silly. "Brown" people eat white rice....lol

What's a good rule of thumb for calculating Carb (sugar content) of fermented veg? I've never done a Ketogenic diet, and I want to give it a shot (for "fun") and make a lot of fermented Vegetables and fermented dairy.

What possible health benefit could raw butter have? The inclusion of lactase to breakdown lactose....which isn't included in the butter?

How about the fact that autophagy is a protein scrounging function and butter has essentially no protein. Yes you are turning on digestion, minorly, you'd still get a benefit from an all fat or fat and carb breakfast. It's just a matter of degrees. Plus you block cortisol spikes which are a real issue. http://paleohacks.com/questions/76623/so-chick-peas/76662#76662Comment by MikeMike2011-11-13T16:38:36Z2011-11-13T16:38:36Zso what were the results?http://paleohacks.com/questions/72805/daily-scheduled-fasting-vs-random-fasting-benefit/76810#76810Comment by MikeMike2011-11-13T16:32:08Z2011-11-13T16:32:08ZDecaf or half-caf?http://paleohacks.com/questions/15997/is-very-low-carb-overrated/16021#16021Comment by MikeMike2011-11-13T05:53:58Z2011-11-13T05:53:58ZThat's some of the worst writing I've ever seen. The bias is palpable, and the honesty is questionable. " In fact, if you truly wanted to keep insulin as low as possible, then you wouldn’t eat a high protein diet…you would eat a low protein, low carbohydrate, high fat diet. However, I don’t see anybody recommending that." Although I'm not a fan of his bars, shakes and all that I do believe this is precisely what Dr. Atkins suggested. As a matter of fact it's what EVERY low-carber I personally know does. I don't know that any meat I have access to is lean enough to illicit that reaction. I've had days when I was lifting weights where I would make it through 3-4 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breast after working out. That's when I stopped pre-cooking chicken. No nausea, but I did get full. However I can't really afford to hit 4lbs of meat at each meal. I know I'm big and I'm really active but POUNDS of meat...?http://paleohacks.com/questions/74478/how-much-to-eat/74480#74480Comment by MikeMike2011-11-02T23:57:28Z2011-11-02T23:57:28ZI've been thinking of pushing myself to try that. Did you have any problem with hypoglycaemia during the day? If you did, did it eventually go away?
