Bree 2012-03-27T14:56:36Z 2012-03-27T14:56:36Z
For starters I would change that lunch to something whole like chicken, turkey and beef. Also, do you use any coconut oils, olive oils to cook eggs in? Those can get you to increase your calories but keep you full longer. (I only saw some with the brussel sprouts). I also wouldn't worry too much about your calorie intake. Listen to your body. If you feel good then go with it. Keep moving and exercising. Also, have you checked out Primal Body Primal Mind by Nora Gedgaudas? She is not a huge advocate of the arbitrary protein numbers everyone shoots for and recommends around about the range you are eating. Too much protein turns to sugar in the body and can store as fat, this essentially stalls body fat loss. Just a thought. I really love her work and I have found her very helpful. Good luck! It's a journey!
http://paleohacks.com/questions/102284/very-overweight-trying-paleo-but-not-seeing-any-weight-loss/102319#102319 Answer by Bree for Very Overweight, trying paleo but not seeing any weight loss Bree 2012-03-03T15:31:18Z 2012-03-03T15:31:18Z
I think you probably shocked your body in the carb department and it is trying to hang on to all calories you put in there. I think a more gradual decrease of carb consumption is helpful. Also, eating FAT doesn't MAKE YOU FAT! To the person who wrote that above I have read numerous Paleo articles touting this information. Eat fat to maintain satiety, eat good carbs and have a sweet potato or some brown rice at first, then slowly back these things down. Make sure you are getting enough protein and steering clear of all artificial sweeteners...I know for me...this can throw everything off. Your body is probably in some shock and needs some time to get in the groove. Best of luck and stay positive. The right mindset is worth a million bucks!
