Yoyo 2011-05-18T02:31:48Z 2011-05-18T02:31:48Z
I find it ridiculous that claims are being made that gluten intolerance is mental! So this is meaning to tell me that my years of suffering from crippling stomach issues, inflammation and sickness are all in my head? What a crock. Obviously there is truth to the notion that your mental state has a great effect on your health, but to claim that coeliac disease (yes, that's right, it's a DISEASE) is all made up in sufferers heads is an insult. My life is infinitely better since I eliminated gluten from my diet. Yoyo 2011-05-03T10:38:03Z 2011-05-03T10:38:03Z
I'm not offering any great answer here, but I'll let you know I had EXACTLY the same problem until I went Paleo.

As a sick kid, always suffering from some kind of gut issue, and rashes, asthma and other inflammatory issues, I became a vegetarian. I was vego for YEARS, and eventually went Vegan as Eggs, cheese, and eventually milk all had the same effect on my tummy.

After going paleo (a last ditch effort to fix myself...which worked, thank you!!!) I was reluctant to reintroduce eggs, but when I finally did- NO PROBLEMS!

I guess it's because your gut is not as inflamed as it was when you were mopping those eggs up with some toast.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/25556/baked-oatmeal-recipe-would-you-eat-oats-soaked-in-whey-buckwheat-pics-incl/25557#25557 Answer by Yoyo for Baked Oatmeal Recipe - Would you eat oats soaked in whey/buckwheat? (pics incl) Yoyo 2011-03-02T01:04:19Z 2011-03-02T01:04:19Z
Mmmmm, sounds delicious...But I vote it still has 'grain issues' by virtue of the fact that it contains not one but TWO kinds of grain. I'm a big fan of http://www.marksdailyapple.com/no-oat-oatmeal-its-no-atmeal/ myself. Got over my oatmeal addiction pretty quick when I started on this. I'd rather stay away all together from bready treats so's I don't still crave the bready treats so therefore am less inclined to 'fall off the wagon' and over-indulge in bready treats. Just my preference.

You know what they say; if it walks like a duck...
http://paleohacks.com/questions/30748/ladies-has-your-bra-size-changed-since-being-on-paleo/30754#30754 Comment by Yoyo Yoyo 2011-03-31T21:06:19Z 2011-03-31T21:06:19Z I went from a large C to a large B...was sad at first, but love the freedom of being able to wear little strappy tops now, or buy a bikini where the top and bottom match, or not have people talk to my chest constantly. I'd happily keep the smaller boobs and the body I have now, than go back to being boobalicious and weak :) http://paleohacks.com/questions/21471/sweet-abs-crossfit-and-paleo/21564#21564 Comment by Yoyo Yoyo 2011-03-31T05:32:51Z 2011-03-31T05:32:51Z It's not MY bag, but funnily enough there is a small movement of CrossFitters competing in (and winning) Body Comps just to prove that CF works, and that you don't have to follow the whole traditional Bodybuilding way of training and eating to win. You can do it Paleo/primal. My girlfriend is about to enter her first figure comp next month- and she is hot as shit! :-) http://paleohacks.com/questions/25556/baked-oatmeal-recipe-would-you-eat-oats-soaked-in-whey-buckwheat-pics-incl/25557#25557 Comment by Yoyo Yoyo 2011-03-02T10:51:25Z 2011-03-02T10:51:25Z My friend, I concede, you're right. HOWEVER I would not call myself Paleo if I occasionally indulged in oats dressed as starchy fats the same as I could not call myself a vegan when I ate my monthly potatoes roasted in lard whist wearing my leather shoes... I appreciate that you and your wife are doing the do, though. 80/20 is enough, right? and by the sounds of things once a month is doing even better :)
