A haircut takes the rough ends off, which usually helps. Try that, first.

http://paleohacks.com/questions/61834/hungry-after-steakHungry after steak?!?paleo a-gogo2011-08-31T17:42:30Z2011-09-01T16:28:10Z

Here's my issue- whenever I eat a huge, delicious steak, an hour later, I have hunger pangs. Every time. It doesn't matter if its just the steak, or if its steak with veggies. And its when I eat big steaks-14-18 ounces, or bigger. I don't go steak crazy often, but I do love it, so when I eat it, I eat big. And then I'm hungry an hour later. What gives?

For the record, I don't notice it with other types of meat. Just steak.

Help!

http://paleohacks.com/questions/58755/corn-possibly-paleo/58758#58758Answer by paleo a-gogo for Corn - possibly paleo?paleo a-gogo2011-08-17T05:34:25Z2011-08-17T05:34:25Z
Corn may be a grain, but as for me, I eat seasonally, so corn is definitely something I'll eat in the summer. And I'll enjoy the heck out of it while I'm eating it. but it isn't a staple in my diet, by any means. So enjoy it!!

I looove rare. But when I have steak, especially one that big, I tend to just eat the steak. Though tonight, I ate a smaller piece, fried in butter, with half an avocado. I'm still hungry. :( But then, I ate breakfast early, and did an unintentional IF for the rest of the day, until I ate at 9pm. I have such a jacked up eating schedule..
http://paleohacks.com/questions/62661/the-end-all-be-all-of-guacamoleComment by paleo a-gogopaleo a-gogo2011-09-04T01:45:21Z2011-09-04T01:45:21ZI'm going to third on the salt. Everything needs a little salt. It doesn't even need to be much, just enough to open the flavor.
Also, garlic and cumin. Yes. I'm not big on spicy (or, I am, but my mouth isn't.) so I add flavor without spice. But if you like spicy, add a bit of jalapeno. Although, one time, I added some chipotle to my guac, and OMG sooooo good..http://paleohacks.com/questions/61834/hungry-after-steak/62059#62059Comment by paleo a-gogopaleo a-gogo2011-09-02T05:56:36Z2011-09-02T05:56:36ZI think I've always eaten steak the same way. Either on the Foreman grill, or pan fried, with some salt and pepper. I will say that its entirely possible that I have some psychological ramifications from SAD for so long. I'll keep working on it. :Dhttp://paleohacks.com/questions/61834/hungry-after-steakComment by paleo a-gogopaleo a-gogo2011-08-31T19:37:44Z2011-08-31T19:37:44ZI usually pan fry it with butter. And yeah, you'd think that much meat would satisfy for a while.http://paleohacks.com/questions/61834/hungry-after-steak/61841#61841Comment by paleo a-gogopaleo a-gogo2011-08-31T18:12:06Z2011-08-31T18:12:06ZI rarely eat overly lean cuts-the fat adds tastiness. but perhaps the next time, I'll eat a smaller steak and ad a side of avocado.
