Excellent post, question or not. And I totally agree to the gradual approach to cutting grains and other carbs as long as some people don't get stuck before they're truly paleo and then conclude that paleo doesn't work for them.

After extensive testing, I found that chicken bones are the worst for making any type of broth or gelatin. They don't gel up and generally there's less nutrition in them. My best advice would be to go to your butcher, ask for NECK bones or FEET... (more)

Elevation Burger has a few locations in Arlington, VA if that is convenient for you. Grass fed organic burgers and they will serve them wrapped in lettuce on request. It's just a burger joint and the rest of the menu (fries/shakes) is not paleo,... (more)

On my road to recovery from my eating disorder, I began obsessively looking up stuff about food and nutrition last summer. Inevitably, all my Google searches led me to some articles on marksdailyapple.com. And the rest, as they say, is history. (more)

It's too early to tell what it is. We don't know your water intake, activity level, or if you've just got a "food baby" you need to drop off at "the pool". In all honesty, lock the scale up for the first 30 days. It's only going to mess with... (more)

Hello, what was your first year on paleo? What mistakes did you do? Did you have big cheatings, after which you realised why you stay on paleo? What difficulties did you have that was the hardest to overcome?

I have dropped only 6.5 lb in under 30 days. At first, I was eating too many carbs. As of this past week I have lowered my carbs but I just messed up yesterday because I had about 3/4c broccoli. I forgot to check its carb count! What did you do... (more)
