You don't need any salmon oil. Simply buy wild salmon and eat it (or in cans).

danno, unfortunately, the krill oil business is almost a monopoly. There is one firm in Canada that effectively is the only mass volume producer, and all of the name brands you buy in a store are in fact just relabeling that one company's oil.... (more)

I've found I prefer to have my fat with food rather than by itself, so veggies cooked in plenty of olive oil or lard, when I eat an avocado i fill up the scooped out pip hole with avocado oil, I do sometimes take some coconut oil on a long walk... (more)

What sicence is there behind the scientific claims of fermented fish oil? For instance Green Pastures Fermented Cod Liver Oil that many recommend claiming it isn't rancid like other fish oils.

Fish oil isn't even as good as dripped oil of fish and fish has much more healthy components in it. My suggestion is to choose healthier seafood alternatives available to you and to stick with them.

There should be a manufacturing date on the label -- according to the Green Pasture website the product has been safely tested to up to 2 years after that date. Since the product has been fermented (aka digested), they say that it may be good... (more)

I'm pretty sure there are a few threads here asking almost the exact same question... I do not worry too much about brands, but recommend krill oil with astaxanthin and phosolipids.

I think if you stick with lower fat non-grassfed meats and supplement with O3 you should be good. Use krill oil as it is much lower in mercury. If you can work some decent seafood into your diet it will help. If you stick to just meat, frozen... (more)

You are better off eating fish anyway, quit torturing yourself. I am a firm believer that fish oil supplements are best for those who don't want to eat much fish.
