I don't have RA but my thoughts on fruits are: I think people are generally confused by fruit. They get lumped in with vegetables a lot, but they aren't as nutrient dense and they also contain a lot of sugar. (They're "nature's candy" after all)... (more)

He's diabetic and eating a huge bowl of fruit? If he knows that he processes sugar poorly, he should be aware that a big dose of fructose is not a great idea. That doesn't mean he has to have bacon and eggs-maybe he doesn't love that, but there... (more)

In a normal context fruits are not bad, they are loaded with vitamins and nutrients, water and a tolerable level of fructose. One or two servings a day shouldn't be of any concern. Problem comes when you eat a lot plus eat processed food with HFCS... (more)
