A non-sweetened version preferably.

Thank you fish, I'll include that info in my recipe post.

Darn, I thought since it cooled back down again before you ate it, it would be, like a cooked and cooled potato. Too bad.

Thanks Matt, I took that info out of my recipe post.

Guess you could try adding it to the recipe after it was cooling down, say below 140°? I'll have to try it and see what that does to the taste.

But you cook the potato starch… it's no longer resistant starch then.

Bob's Red Mill All Natural Unmodified Potato Starch.

If you like Kissel, you might want to also try Paleo Rote Grütze, a similar but more substantial type of gelatinous dessert. My family downs that stuff like crazy.

Perfect recipe. Just what I was looking for. What brand of potato starch do you use? Although it's spelled Kiss-el, the actual pronunciation is "Keesh-ell."

Googled what Kissel is, fruit puree gelled with potato starch.

Ok, replace sugar with fruit juice and see if you get something edible. Or just Google sugar-free Kissel recipe… everybody is using stevia.

Or better yet, just eat a little sugar now and then. Life's too short.
