Anyone buy non grass-fed ghee in bulk at Indian stores? Pros and Cons? Any brands we know for sure are or are NOT grass fed? I'm almost positive its not grassfed, but it might be a decent/necessary (affordable/accessible) option for some. (more)

My mum comes from a dairy farm in county cork. The cows are given pellets to eat as well as grass. The male cows were fed more grain to fatten them up to be sold as meat.

I keep reading things about how grass fed beef has less saturated fat than grain fed beef. Does anyone know if that's true? I know that grass fed tends to have less marbling than grain fed, I'm mainly interested in the ratio of the fats.

honestly? no, not at all! the ethical arguments hold sway for me, but the health benefits are definitely what i'd consider marginal. i eat seafood, i'm not dying for the omegas. the CLA is nice, in theory, but practical difference? none.
