I recently stumbled on to this: http://www.drlwilson.com/articles/HEALING%20LIFESTYLE.htm He seems to advocate what is pretty much a Paleo diet, but with some differences. He's big on hair mineral analysis to fine-tune the diet, and coffee... (more)

I've been reading about Dr. Wilson's approach to better your health for about one week now. I have still so much to read before making a decision to try it. Like Shelia, above, I have tried several different health diets, etc. I have also... (more)

Why do you trust fitness and health gurus? To me these people seem like some the the least trustworthy professionals out there. The incentive structure in the industry is akin to what would be that of a Hedge Fund (HF-A) who makes money by... (more)

First, the paleo diet is based around the principle that no one knows what foods introduced in the past 10,000 years are healthy. So weather someone is a doctor, guru, biologist, or layman, its just an educated guess if milk, wheat, Gatorade,... (more)

The internet is full of health "experts" or gurus. Sometimes they are media sensations. Other times they are humble and don't claim to have all of the answers. Either way, they still have a group of people that hang on every word and don't... (more)

There doesn't seem to be any "scientific" evidence that I can find that says paleo is safe. It is all just anecdotal and testimonials on success. But where is the "FAT" that says it will help against heart disease and colon cancer and etc. Nope... (more)

So I'm sick of hearing spirituality associated with vegetarianism. At some point, eating all those beans are going to interfere with meditation or spiritual practice. LOL. BTW - the hubby and I had much better meditation post-Paleo then... (more)

My emotions were extremely diminished when I was VLC. Weston price talked about the north americans who lived on an extremely high meat diet and seemed to lack emotion as well so I don't think its just a personal thing. I've also heard the same... (more)
