If the antibiotic you took was a fluoroquinolone, then you might have had a reaction to it. They cause damage to tendons, ligaments—basically all connective tissue. This might be the reason you're afflicted with tendonitis throughout your body. (more)

There is a specific test for Hashimoto's antibodies. As far as I know, that's the only way to diagnose it. Hypothyroid doesn't have to be caused by Hashi's, but if it is, you'll have the antibodies.
