What is the best way to begin healing your GI tract? Also, what is the best way to get rid of constipation? This is assuming you are on the Paleo diet of course. Thanks for the answers!

The most important thing is to avoid whatever's irritating the GI tract. Presumably already avoid grains, legumes, casein (possibly), lactose (possibly); but you might want to be sure you're avoiding excessive fibre (especially insoluble), tannins... (more)

Excess carbs can interfere with wound healing--ask any one legged diabetic. Consider what you ate WITH those carbs, maybe something lacking in your diet, or just a coincidence of time.

I cut myself with a filet knife whilest peeling a kiwi. It required some stitches and since I work with my hands- time off work, not good. So I was wondering if I should quit working out in order to get this cut to heal faster.

I guess working out is another stressor to recover from, so possibly. Noticeably slower? I don't know... Maybe just scale back the intensity of workouts, do some walking.

Have you tried supplementing with home made bone broth? After 6 hours in my pressure cooker many of the bones are soft and crumbly so I eat them along with the broth.

Lots of bone broth! Also, if you're up to it, gnaw on the cartilage at the end of chicken bones—lots of collagen. Still, bone broth is my first recommendation. Hope you get back up and moving soon.

Icing doesn't speed the healing process - it reduces inflammation and swelling. And yes, I still use the RICE protocol for some injuries.
