I have been paleo for two weeks now, though gluten and dairy free for over a year. I am eating low enough carbs for the past week (below 50g) to be in ketosis, and the body fat is dropping. All good. I have noticed, though, that when I lie in... (more)
It's not just ketosis, but also sugar & salt withdrawal combined with fluid re-regulation. Make sure you are drinking enough water and getting adequate minerals in your diet.

A lot of your symptoms are probably being caused by electrolyte depletion / imbalance. If you're low carb, you need to be consuming about 5 grams of sodium a day. 5 days / week of intense cardio is not healthy either.
Hi, So I started doing a Keto diet about 3 weeks ago with the last 2 weeks being more strict. I'm basically getting around 15 carbs a day, and 65-70% of my calories coming from fat, and the rest from protein. A little background on me and what... (more)
You can search for paleo-friendly doctors in your area, and find someone who can see your complete medical history and examine and monitor you. That way you'll have good advice from someone who understands your whole picture.

I am paleo 99% of the time, but on a day like today, sometimes dark chocolate is just too delicious to pass up! The past few times I have eaten it - we're talking 70-85% dark chocolate - my heart starts to race for about an hour afterwards. I feel... (more)
It's probably the caffeine/theobromine. It's not something a sensitive person would notice from white or milk chocolate probably, but it's quite concentrated in the darker versions.
