How the hell do you avoid ruining your skin by changing weight during the off season? I pretty much ruined my skin when I was young. I would do triathlon, football, cross country and then in a few months when all my sports were off I would still... (more)

The secret to beauty is this: People look like what they are. This, for whatever reason, is some sort of immutable law of the universe that stands alongside the 2nd law of thermodynamics. The fact that "gruffalo" (some sort of Brit comic of an... (more)

So I am finally going to add sprints into my routine. I like the "Sprint 8" protocol and will try that out first. I just wanted to know if there were any tips/heads up from people who have done this? Either be with proper attire, nutrition,... (more)

I've used my iPhone to time myself in the past. A banana before and whey protein after sounds just fine. You'll very likely be sore the first day after you sprint on a track. If you eat carbs after or protein before its not the end of the world,... (more)

Hello, paleo-folks! I've been pretty strict with paleo for the last year, and dabbled with it for 1-2 years prior. Before high school, I was an inactive, obese kid who's only pleasure in life was to eat junk food and play videogames. When high... (more)

Don't fast, that's not gonna help anything. There's nothing positive about fasting, it's just a myth. Without being any expert on joint disorders, I would say go for a really clean antiinflammatory diet. get your vit D level checked. avoid... (more)

Protein and Carbs post-workout works best for me. I usually do 2-3 chicken thighs and a Banana or some Sweet Potatoes. Your question seems to imply that you're considering doing either protein or carbs, but they're fine together too. It also... (more)

Have you tried magnesium supplementation half an hour before bed? Also you could be inflammatory foods that affect some people more than others, and sometimes after going paleo our bodies become much more sensitive to any food that they don't... (more)

BCAA is recommended to perserve muscle while fasting but it also releases insulin almost at the rate of glucose (from what I read). Doesn't insulin prevent HGH? So if I use BCAA during a IF, HGH gets blunted? Isn't HGH a pottent fat burner &... (more)

I'm curious if anyone has been diagnosed and treated for adult HGH deficiency. Can these shots improve energy, stamina, bone density and body comp? Is chronically low HGH in adults below 50 or 60 years old a problem that should be treated, or is... (more)
