Most people do somewhere in the neighborhood of 20% of calories as protein. Of course, that's 20% of weight maintenance calories. I wouldn't go over 25%, unless you have a specific reason, such as being a work out junkie. That said, really what... (more)

Cholesterol in food does not equal cholesterol in the blood. If her cholesterol is high she probably has a lot of inflammation, and she NEEDS the fat to heal.

Basically, any excess of long chain fatty acids (the kind found in butter e.t.c) will be stored in the adipocytes, whilst the medium chain fats found in coconut oil are easily oxidised.
