My Thoughts: Carb Loading is not necessary if you are eating sufficient carbs for your activity level. I do not like to do any endurance exercise while stuffed. So I try to eat a small meal 4-5 hours before the race, then a banana ~90 minutes... (more)

Being fat adapted is a great idea, but planning on ketosis doesn't sound optimal. The food they do provide on the show seems to be primarily rice. I would definitely want myself to metabolically flexible. I would probably prep by doing some... (more)

If shredded meat is a little dry, I like to heat it up, give it a good dose of melted butter, then drench it in hot sauce and mustard. Delicious.
