Are you eating it undercooked? If so, it's probably bacteria. Have you tried a different brand of ground beef? Bacteria can only live on the surface of meats, but when you grind meat, the very first sample that's infected will spread to the... (more)

When I used to eat sweet potatoes, they would make me bloat like a balloon. That's my experience, maybe it's yours as well. High starch and fiber can cause your gut to become distended and swell up somewhat.
