Whole milk helped me put weight on my daughter. I also slather everything I can in butter. Low blood sugar will be fine so long as he eats enough protein at meals. I would also try to get him to eat lots of coconut. Good luck!

Sounds good to me. It will help to dilute the mucus. Swallowing mucus on an empty stomach can cause upset. It wont hurt your metabolism, especially if you are not eating anything else. Hope you feel better soon.
