What are valid criticisms of the paleo diet? Scientific, economic, ethical... the gamut. And by paleo I mean the umbrella term that includes Weston A Price, Primal, Perfect Health Diet, GAPS etc etc.

That its too expensive. True for some. A lack of defined macronutrient ratios. You could eat raw honey and sugary fruits all day and still be "paleo" That's the only valid arguments, really. Everything else about paleo is pretty awesome! I for one... (more)

I don't know that he offers "a smart anti-paleo" argument, per se, but Dr Ornish's program is highly divergent from Paleo when it comes to red meat, fat, animal sourced foods. He also includes grains, legumes and other non-Paleo foods in his... (more)
