I recently came across a post from one of the users that she was a vegan for many years and cured her immune disorder, and lack of menstruation by switching to paleo. I am in the same place right now as I have suffered for 5 years without a... (more)

I'm 51 and recently missed 5 menstrual cycles in a row. Thought, yes, this is it, going through the change. But then again I was a bit uncertain that cycles had stopped. I was keeping track on the calendar and my classic symptoms, aside from... (more)

CJ, it can come and go for a while. It doesn't usually just "stop". You can go for almost a whole year and then have a period, or just spotting 2 or 3 times in a month after you've gone a long time. Sometimes you can hemorrhage for weeks and then... (more)

I cut out gluten 10 months ago and went full Paleo (well, Primal, as I do eat goat and sheep dairy on occasion) 9 months ago. I haven't knowingly touched gluten since then, though I suspect I've had the odd exposure here and there (soy sauce at... (more)

Both home-made bone broth and gelatine are very healing for the bowels. You might try a GAPS style bone broth fast for a day or two, with added supplemental gelatine. Also Melissa recommends canned pumpkin as a way of regulating the bowels, so... (more)

I know there are lots of poop questions on here but none of them really help me out. I've brought this up before when I first started Paleo and had people telling me to up my carbs, up my fats, lower my fats, lower my protein, eat stems, etc.,... (more)

My latest post on my blog was about this. I struggled with loose stool a lot on strict paleo and it subsided when I would eat an apple sauce/banana/pumpkin/broth diet. Finally I got it to go away altogether by just well...not eating paleo. I still... (more)

I've been a (fairly) strict paleo eater for about a year now. After a couple months I managed to lose about 40lbs and drop a pant size. I'm 5'11" and when I started weighed about 240lbs. I am now somewhere around 200lbs, possibly below, I haven't... (more)
