I would stay away from canning pesto or anything with oil, due to the high botulism risk. Also, properly lactofermented foods will stay good for a while.

I think it's food. I think it's fruit and fruit juice and pectin, not weird preservatives or coloring agents. Therefore, I think you should eat it and enjoy it and not worry about the few teaspoons of sugar you are going to eat.
