It depends on where you are and where you want to be. What are your goals? If you would like to lose weight, then I would advise avoiding or limiting dehydrated fruit/meat. As you note, they are more dense and lend themselves to overconsumption.... (more)

I make grass-fed beef jerky and sell it in Iowa. In order to have "grass-fed" on the label, I have to get an affidavit from the beef producer that states the beef was always fed grass and never grain. nomadjerky.com

I could not find anywhere that sells beef jerky that's gluten-free (no soy sauce). The ones that are gluten-free have sugars and don't taste very good. So, I'd like to try making jerky and dried fruits at home. Thank you.
