There are a couple of similar (but not the same) questions in the archives on this and it seems unlikely that anyone would overdose on K2 but if I take the Life Extension Super K supplement plus high vitamin butter oil (half a teaspoon) plus eat some, though not masses, of pastured butter and a couple of egg yolks every day, am I getting too much?
It seems those with bad bones (I've got mild osteoporosis) might need more in any case and as with all things I've no idea how much I'm absorbing if I've got gut issues (though my last iron level was top of the range so I'm obviously absorbing that fine!) I take D3, FCLO and magnesium so should I take both supplement and butter oil or will the butter oil alone be enough? Just want to cover all bases as I'm never sure with Green Pastures products, good as they are, exactly what the vitamin content is as they are a food not a supplement.

I was taking Carlsons 5mg for a long time, and for a little while I took 10mg. Stopped that because I was worried, same as you, but I didn't have any sort of bad reactions. Right now I am doing the Green Pastures butter oil/fclo mix. I don't know how much K2 there really is in it, but my skin still looks good. I've also got some of the Thorne Research drops, but I haven't been using them much because I wanted to see that Green Pastures magic happen. Not sure that it is magical enough to be worth the price, though.
Anyway, there are people taking 15mg and up. There isn't a known limit. I would suspect there has to be an upper limit somewhere, but I can tell you you are not going to hit the upper limit with what you are doing. What might happen though, is you might find the K1 in the Life Extension supplement makes you feel funny. K1 makes my teeth feel weird, makes drinking alcohol extremely uncomfortable, and gives me this strange wired feeling- even mixed in as a complex. I'm pretty sure I've tried this Life Extension product and I felt those symptoms- the same symptoms I got back when I didn't know any better and got a pure K1 supplement rather than one with K2 in it.
Do you have any scientific evidence to support that CLO/HVBO products are more bio-available to your body? I think that the CLO/HVBO is rancid, nutritionally damaged product and taste bad. I stopped taking it.
I don't know if it was just a coincidence, but I regularly take around 1mg a day and ended up taking 5mg one day. For some reason I was extremely dizzy all day, to the point where walking around I sometimes wondered if I might fall over. I dropped the dose and felt normal again. Maybe it was something else and all a coincidence, or maybe I 'overdosed'.
