Kombucha, 2 questions...

Regarding kombucha:

I love it! I've been drinking GT's Gingerade and I love it. Long (like 10 years) before I went (or even heard of) paleo, I stopped drinking sodas. In the last 6 months, I've discovered GT's kombucha and have fallen in love with their Gingerade.

I drink a bottle almost every other day. On a good week, when I can find it in my local Safeway, I drink every other day. Today I found it there and bought 5 bottles. It's expensive, but soooooo damn good! I plan to buy a SCOBY and start making my own (cost effective), but in the mean time, how much is too much?

Q1: Is a GT bottle a day too much? How often should one enjoy kombucha of any kind?

Q2: Is half a GT bottle of Gingerade mixed with some tequila bad?

Make your own. Use GT's (but get an unflavored one) as the seed for your own. It will grow very slowly at first, but once you have a SCOBY going, you'll have so much, you won't know what to do with it all.

You just need some sugar and some teabags (make sure you don't use a tea that has essential oils such as Earl Gray.) see:

I ferment mine until it's almost like vinegar.

It's fine to drink with tequila, but remember that you're killing off the bacteria/yeasts with the alcohol.
