Why do all the argumentative/subjective questions here get closed down?

Want to have your question closed as 'argumentative' and/or 'subjective'? Simple. Mention - in a non-fawning/sycophantic way - Jack Kruse or Jimmy Moore. PH mods will be on it like white on rice (good thing it's a safe starch). What are they afraid of? Well, in the case of Quack Frost, it can probably be chalked up to simple embarrassment; they're still hoping everyone will just forget. In the case of The Jimmer, however, it comes down to not criticizing the low carb/paleo kingmaker. God forbid...

There are still a few honest voices left, however: CarbSane, Dr. Kurt Harris, Stephan Guyenet, Anthony Colpo, Matt Stone... Read them; support them; ignore the obese idiots pitching snake oil that doesn't even work for them. And to the uptight PaleoHacks mods who will close this question: lighten up, folks. Get a sense of humor. Get out more. Get a clue.

I agree. Let's even make that plural while we're at it. Oh, Melissa: So if you & the mods are not fans of Kruse and Livin' La Vida Low Cred, then why the hypersensitivity and tip-toeing around these people? This is the value of people like CarbSane and Dr. Kurt Harris - they shine a light on hypocrisy, expose what should be exposed, and call bullshit when they see it. Closing questions like mine is exactly how Kruse got so big to begin with. And Jimmy? Well that situation is just crazy - an obese man giving weight-loss advice. A 'paleo' creationist. And why? Because you're all afraid of him...

mzrdnan, posting on this site means you are asking for opinions. What you consider pompous may be different from what I consider pompous. If you don't like the answers you get, the most simple solution is to not ask questions.

To be fair, I have previously asked a legitimate question about a 100% diet and got a slew of remarkably pompous responses that were not at all required, no added to answering the question.

Because they're argumentative and subjective? Just a thought.

Seriously? You think the mods are fans are Dr. Jack Kruse and Jimmy Moore? Are you kidding me? Your questions aren't questions and they are specifically written to cause problems here.

Have you considered that Dr Jack Kruse would be easier to ignore if people like you did not keep creating new accounts for the purpose of asking argumentative questions about him?

Have you considered that if you want people to ignore Dr Jack Kruse then creating new accounts here to ask argumentative questions about him is not the best plan?

Honest questions from regular users of the site about individuals and their views/opinions are not closed.

However if you create a new account and the first question you ask has a provocative title that is obviously designed to stir up an argument about an individual and is personally insulting it is liable to be closed. This applies to any individual. These questions are just not constructive.

For example describing particular individuals as "obese idiots" in your question is personally insulting and a good way to get it closed.

If you repeatedly create new accounts just for the purposes of stirring up trouble they are likely to be deleted.

Serious questions asking about the protocols that Dr. Kruse recommends are currently being referred to his website and forum where he can answer them himself. This is because such questions here have a tendency to descend into rather unpleasant personal attacks in the answers/comments that are difficult to moderate.

PaleoHacks mods do tend to get out quite a lot and that is why they cannot spend lots of time on here moderating pointless, augmentative threads and for this reason they are closed.

I noticed the snarky comments too. My thought is if people have nothing constructive to add, they should just refrain from commenting.

I agree! When people ask a question, maybe just to satisfy their curiosity, people attack them like wild dogs and it's really disappointing actually. If it so happens to question the general accepted ideas held by those of the PH sphere they get so aggressive and abusive!

I think it is biological. If you inject rhesus monkeys with testosterone, they start fighting for their ranks. People who have more testosterone also like to keep others "in line".

People whose brains are estrogen-wired are more all-inclusive, try to promote peace and cooperation, they negotiate rather than censor and hate to discipline others.

So... they do what feels "right" to them biologically.
