There are other ways of losing weight other than VLC. Some people disagree with this, but I firmly believe that calories in do matter overall. VLC makes it easier to eat less and there is possibly a small metabolic advantage (not sure about this... (more)

carb restriction relies heavily on intervals between exercise. If you are doing heavy work every day, your body will likely not be able to convert to glucose fast enough to keep up. Personally, 3 days a week, with rest or light work in between... (more)

You could try getting a food scale and measuring out individual portions of the meat. That might help for you to keep control over exactly what you're eating. Doing this will help if you use a food/nutrition tracker program such as Fitday.
