Hmmm. You want something "a little more in-depth, science-laden and preferably somewhat up to date" ... sounds like the Jaminets' Perfect Health Diet would fit the bill quite nicely.

Mark's Daily Apple and Robb Wolf's podcasts are great sources. I really like how they are not dogmatic and they have a ton of good information. I have to say that Dr. Kurt Harris (archevore blog) is the one that convinced me to give this a try.... (more)

Sometimes this is simply a matter of these guys needing to re-emphasize caveats, exceptions, or context-dependent options already mentioned or implied in prior work, but it gets filtered out and flattened when delivered to general audiences.

I'm not sure that would be the best way to put it. I think many people in Paleo community are just more aware of what is going on around them. I would say they question things more, rather than blindly accepting information that is handed to them.... (more)

I had a lot of these symptoms. His solutions for them are idiotic though. Geez, if only some pathetic little flax and hemp seeds could have saved me! I was already eating those things + B12 supplements and they did nothing.

Hi Carly, This 'article' is a review and so contains no original research. Also, it's published in an obscure journal with no track record. Academics do judge a paper by where it's published because articles published in higher tier journals... (more)
