I saw the other similar topics, but while they provide some solutions, i didn't see many explanations in them. I have been paleo for two months and already lost one sixth of my weight. I have also been doing Leptin Reset for around three... (more)

You're putting too much faith in labels such as "leptin reset" and "adrenal fatigue". We are very complex and adaptable. Changes in your diet may be helpful, but the concepts you discuss are, at best, vastly simplistic. Either up your carbs, or... (more)

So, I decided to schedule myself. I work four 10-hour shifts a week and found myself starving by the time I got off work. I am trying to follow Jack Kruse's schedule. Eat within 30 minutes of waking (6:30) and then every six hours with the last... (more)

Only eat on a schedule for two reasons: 1) your hunger signals are messed up and you overeat/binge and gain weight or 2) you're trying to bulk up and you're not hungry enough. Other than that if you're able to maintain the health and fitness you... (more)

http://jackkruse.com/so-you-completed-the-leptin-rx-what-is-next/#comments The Quilt has finally given us what we were begging for--a template for how to eat, exercise, think, and live once fully leptin sensitive. I could tweak a few small... (more)

Paleo2.0 brought this up as a comment in another question. Is everything that Dr. Kruse has to say about leptin wrong? What has Dr. Kruse said that is correct? Citations would be helpful for many reading here.

I don't quite understand what the leptin reset protocol is, who should be doing it and what should be done? Can anyone give a brief overview in laymans terms? I've seen the site but still don't get it!

Restoring leptin sensitivity should allow the brain to naturally regulate energy homeostasis to allow the body to adjust to its correct weight naturally. This is based on leptin being the master control hormone in the neuro-regulation of... (more)

Like everyone else has said, the appetite supression after that big protein breakfast is incredible. If that were the only thing about it, I'm happy as a clam to stay on it. I'm starting my fifth week on it today. Have no thoughts of food from... (more)

I'm not sure if I need to follow the leptin reset protocol, but I like experimenting with stuff, plus I never seem to get full, so that might be a leptin signaling issue. Within 20 minutes of waking up, here is the pattern I've fallen into: Pint... (more)

Here are a few amateurish thoughts about this: One of the reasons you may not be feeling full is that milk/whey causes huge insulin and IGF1 spikes. which is why it is so great for bodybuilding and being "anabolic". However, when your insulin... (more)

Eat (non-pasteurized) fermented foods, like sauerkraut. You may want to look into making your own so you get all the good bacteria. Or take probiotics. Gut health is absolutely vital.

I just read this article by dr. Jack Kruse on LR and I'm not sure if I have this. I'm not overweight and I don't crave foods, but I do fast and eat 2 meals a day and when I get to the second one my body just doesn't say stop. If I force myself to... (more)

If you are not overweight, and you are not gaining weight, then you definitely are not leptin resistant. It's good to have one big meal a day. If you are worried about overeating then focus on eating high protein in the second meal, and just eat... (more)

I've been experimenting with different breakfast foods while on the leptin reset. According to the nutrition label, pork rinds should be very satiating as they are high in protein and fat. However, I ate half a bag (approximately 30 grams of... (more)

Notice how they (typically) say "Not a significant source of protein" on the back even though the gram amount is high? There's something about the actual protein (i.e. amino acids) in pork rinds that your body does not absorb it.

Since the leptin reset protocol is premised on how 'old' leptin receptors are wired to adapt to light changes, when you wake up in the middle of the night, I would wait to eat your BAB until about 30 minutes after sunrise.
