Lettuce often gives me diarrhea, and I end up with undigested lettuce in my stool. It's like shitting a salad. Any idea why? Should I just not eat lettuce? It's not the dressing, in case you're thinking that, because I never use dressing.

So last time I tried to make lettuce wraps (for tacos) it was an unmitigated disaster. I used a head of iceberg lettuce and they were just falling apart and full of holes. What do you guys use and is there any special preparation instructions? (more)

The best tip I can offer is cut the rib off where the leaf starts to broaden for more flexibility. Doing that should allow you to easily fold like a tortilla - into "fours." Also not overstuffing :) I always want to overstuff.. What I use: Flat... (more)

We have them in NY, too. Bareburger offers a lettuce wrap as an option, Five Guys has the lettuce bun as well. Big shout outs and kisses to In-n-Out for their Protein Style burger that started it all off, I remember my first lettuce bun was done... (more)

I think lettuce is probably benign. It has little nutrition, and little toxin.
