Seems very interesting: The World Until Yesterday: What Can We Learn from Traditional Societies?

I will probably be the only one who will not order his book. I think most of his books are shallow and populist. He oversimplifies the matter and is not objective enough in his writing. I really despise people who write about anthropology without any proper anthropological training. Even though he is interested in evolutionary biology, it does not equal being a trained anthropologist.

He is a professor of geography and originally his area of expertise was gall bladder salts. Of course, he states interesting facts in his books, but he makes wrong interpretations and he pre-selects them to prove his point.

My advice: take his writing with a grain of salt.

I read the excerpt on child rearing on HuffPo, which made me pre-order it

Personally, I'm looking forward to his new Subway commercial.

His last book was not so interested as I expected. He isn't my hero
