So my sister and father have recently learned they each were born with one kidney. I'm getting a sonogram tomorrow to see if I also have this issue. Does anyone know how this would change my dietary needs? My sister has been told she should be on... (more)

My son was born with one kidney (unilateral renal agenesis) and we've not been advised anything in regards to his diet - sodium or protein. We've only been advised to limit his participation in winter sports (skiing, hockey, etc).
