Hey thanks so much for your response! Calorie wise they recommend 1500ish so I could cut back a little there. My BMI is just in the healthy range (so surely weight to lose)? Waist to height ratio of 44.1 so not amazing but healthy. (more)

There is a broad spectrum of nutritional profiles for macronutrients that one could arrive at if eating a general "paleo" diet. Personally, I eat isocalorically -- 33% c/p/f -- but there's no reason 80/10/10 couldn't work for a paleo eater.... (more)

Everyone is different. In this respect, I recommend trying a couple N=1 experiments where for a couple weeks, you limit fruit and increase your starchy vegetable consumption, and then try the opposite for a couple weeks.

i don't think you're counting calories accurately, but low calories will not have any impact on your ability to enter ketosis. i mean, you enter ketosis when you're starving to death.
