Sounds like it could be estrogen dominance. You are supposed to have higher estrogen at those times, but if you have too much, it could be an issue. How is your D3 blood level? D3 is a hormone precursor and I have had good success with myself... (more)

My mom gets periods twice a month. Her cycle is just way shorter than most. She has a healthy reproductive system. If you have seen the doctor and ruled out any major problems then I do not think you should be worried about the short cycle length. (more)

I just went ketogenic 3 weeks ago and noticed that my period was much lighter, and slightly less crampy this month. I keep my carbs under 40 gms and my protein at 1 gm per kilogram of body weight. No calorie counting.

I found my cycles got shorter--from a 28-day cycle to a 25-day cycle. Of course, I'm also 38, and cycles change as you get older. My periods have never been painful, and have only lasted for about three days for years, but the bloating isn't as bad. (more)
