Hello, I know there are other questions about keeping weight on or gaining weight for skinny paleo folks. Mine is a bit more complex. My husband is 26 and suffering from a movement disorder called dystonia, and the doctors can't figure out... (more)
I haven't had a bowel movement since Friday morning. What do I do? I took a stimulant laxative as I asked this question, out of desperation. Sometimes when you feel like you're dieing (like I do now) you will do anything. PLEASE KILL ME :'( I... (more)
Is this certification worth it? www.functionalmovement.com MovNat actually recommends it as a prerequisite for their certification.
I've been doing Paleo for about 2 months and it's completely changed my life for the better. I find it easy to do and I will continue doing it. However, I have one gripe with it: my belly always feels full and heavy and I can't ever suck it in. ... (more)
What: The Paleo Summit (see also this post) Who: Paul Chek ??? Founder, C.H.E.K. Institute Topic: Living Primal: Instinct Before Intellect. With so much research and history supporting Paleo principles, why do people have such a hard time living... (more)
I am currently tinkering with the idea of starting a grassroots paleo movement as a non-profit. The difficulty would be funding--most of our ideas about saturated fat and carbohydrates are so against CW that it's unlikely that one'd receive... (more)

I just came from an appointment with a physical therapist, who pretty much confirmed what I already knew anecdotally: for the past 4 months, and for probably another 4 more, my shoulder has been and will be totally messed up. I won't go into the... (more)
Are there any FREE training groups for parkour or MovNat in NYC? Anyone interested in creating one? I have no experience (aside from youtube vids) in either, but am interested in learning.
I've just bought Esther Gokhale's book on improving posture, and it seems to make a lot of sense. It appears similar to the Alexander Technique but very much based on observation of 'natural' people, which I feel is a sound paleo approach. So has... (more)
If your job was to spread the Paleo Diet to the world, how would you do it? Where would you start? A "tell at least one person about the Paleo Diet" Day? That's the best I could come up with at 3am.

Personally, I think the rower is the best all around machine. It doesn't matter how good of shape I'm in, it always kicks my ass and I can never catch my breath on it.
I don't like idle time. I don't do chit-chat or read the news, watch the TV or wait for the buss. I stopped driving because I can't do anything while on the road. But still, there are lots of such moments I would like to remove from my life... (more)
So, I have a desk job and I've become conscious of how easy it is to sit all day unless I make a conscious effort to get up and move. What are your tricks during the workday to incorporate more movement?
Who's the best media-friendly paleo-movement expert out there? And if you could spread only one tiny, watered-down paleo lifestyle tip to the general public, what would you include? I eat paleo (my one-year anniversary next month!), run trails... (more)
I'm just curious if anyone on this forum has tried Systema (Russian Martial Art). There are a lot of overlaps with paleo/primal lifestyle, including: -advocation of cold water bathing, fasting, necessity of relaxation, fostering natural relaxed... (more)
