Make sure you're eating ENOUGH calories. It sounds like you're eating too far below your TDEE, which is preventing loss.

Personally I experimenter with sweet potatoes etc. I fond they made my fat loss slow down or cease. When I upped my fruit intake ( I like low glycemic fruits) I found energy and fat loss both increased.
