Newbie to paleo-- want to know what to expect

Hi everyone- I'm a newbie to paleo and am actually in my first 30 days (17 days to be exact). I'm loving it so far but had a few questions. The first question is about alcohol- having alcohol be a very big part of my social life and work life (networking) I have had a hard time cutting it out. Although I have had only vodka and soda or gluten free beer, I'm wondering if I need to avoid it completely to aid in weightloss (I usually have 2 or more drinks 4 times a week) Question two is about, err, going number 2... I have always been pretty regular and now I am not going nearly as often. Is this normal? Third question is about weight loss. While I want very much to improve my life and body and be healthier, the weight loss that ive heard comes with paleo is awesome. I haven't really experienced that yet and was wondering if anyone had any advice? Did anyone lose weight after they had been paleo for a few months versus the first few weeks? I have dropped about 3 pounds so far but or some reason expected more. Helllllp!

My daily diet includes: Breakfast 2 slices of bacon 2 eggs

Lunch Salad with veggies, chicken sausage, egg, homemade guac or dinner leftovers

Dinner Anything from stuffed peppers to meatloaf with veggies (broc, mashed sweet potatoes, cauliflower,etc)

I usually work out 4-5 times a week with mainly cardio (Zumba, running, elliptical)

8 or more alcoholic drinks a week will hamper your weight loss. Trust me I live in Beervana and I had a heck of time cutting beer out. Once I did I feel better and the weight loss is about 3 lbs a week.

I like to drink and when dieting on a low carb diet wine is the way to go . A glass a day won't hurt your diet at all . As far as being regular you are not eating enough to be regular but your body will adjust and you will be regular again . ;)
