Yes you should be eating more. If you want to increase your metabolic rate though you need physical activity. Phil Campbell and Doug Mcguff both have good advice on the subject if you YouTube them.

I don't think you can wean yourself off gradually, I think you have to quit the sugar entirely, cold turkey. No artificial sweeteners, nada. Meanwhile, you've got to eat plenty of protein and good fat, and some low-carb, low-sugar vegetables.... (more)
