Chef's Paleo Chocolate Salty Balls?

Have you ever tried Chef's chocolate salty balls (youtube video), paleo version? How would you tweek the original recipe to make an evolutionary appropriate version?

The original recipe:

2 tablespoons of cinnammon, and 2 or 3 egg whites, a half a stick of butter melt it. Stick it all in a bowl, baby stir it with a wooden spoon, mix in a cup of flour, you'll be in heaven soon. Quarter-cup of unsweetened chocolate and a half a cup of brandy. And throw in a bag or two of sugar and just a pinch of vanilla. Grease up the cookie sheet, 'cause I hate when my balls stick, then preheat the oven to three-fity, and give that spoon a lick!!!!

Plus one if you can change the recipe to one containing chocolate, salt and animal testicles, and still be tasty!

YUM. Wow, I would almost commission my mom to make these as a birthday treat some time. :)

Use the thicker type of almond butter, not a "no-stir" kind. It's important that it is thick and hard. ;) Heh. They melt pretty quick once you take them out of the fridge/freezer, but then I don't usually leave them laying around.

Mmm, that sounds great! I've tried making almond butter cups in a mini-muffin tin, but it didn't work very well; I'll have to try these!

I make these chocolate covered almond butter balls

* 1 cup Natural Almond Butter unsalted
* 1 tbsp Organic Raw Honey
* 1/2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
* 1/4 tsp Coarse Kosher Salt
* 1 tsp instant coffee
* 80 g 90% Baking Chocolate

Directions

Mix all ingredients except chocolate in food processor, roll into balls. Melt chocolate w/double boiler. Dip balls in chocolate. Refrigerate until hard.

They are like paleo peanut butter cups.

Ha! I myself make "Chocolate Salty Nuts-" I melt dark chocolate and pour it over dry-roasted, sea-salted macadamias & let them set. I guess you could sub testicles, but I'll stick with macadamias for now ;)
