From a paleo perspective is there a common reason for breakouts/acne?

Could it have something more to do with what you eat or what you should eat? or are hormones the culprit? What experience have you all had.

I was on accutane as a teenager. Would not recommend. For me, it was a combination of:

#1 -- Eating the wrong things (too many toxins, omega 6's, chemical soaps, food sensitivities, etc) #2 -- Not eating the right things (not enough macronutrients / micronutrients, poor absorption of supplements, genetic predisposition toward certain nutrient deficiencies.) #3 -- Hormones / Stress / Lack of sleep / Lack of sunlight #4 -- Skin dryness / oiliness / ph #5 -- Bacteria / Fungus (skin / gut) #6 -- Environment By optimizing all of these points, I found a pretty good natural solution.

I was on Accutane as a teenager. Would not recommend. For me, it was a combination of:

  1. Consuming too many toxins (synthetic foods, omega 6's, gluten, dairy, nuts, fructose, chemical soaps, chlorine, etc.)
  2. Not consuming enough nutrients (not enough macronutrients / micronutrients, poor absorption of supplements, genetic predisposition toward certain nutrient deficiencies.)
  3. Hormones / Stress / Lack of sleep / Lack of sunlight
  4. Skin dryness / oiliness / ph
  5. Bacteria / Fungus (on skin / in gut)
  6. Environmental allergies / fabrics / chemicals
By optimizing all of these points, I found a pretty good natural solution.
