Having trouble losing weight. Is there a meal plan I should follow on Paleo?

i have been doing Paleo for over a month and the first few weeks i lost alot of weight now i seam to just be maintaning it, i do cross fit 3-4 times a week as well as netball so i am active but i am wondering if it is due to the amount or what food i eat, Usually breakfast is eaither eggs bacon tomatoe spinach or fruit salad (apple,pear,grapes,peach,nectarine,plums) and i also have a morning snack witch is carrot, piece of fruit on days i don't have fruit salad, nuts or fruit n nut bar. then i have lunch chicken or ham with salad tomatoe,cuccumber,carrot, vegtable soup or left overs such as (zucchini carrot spagetti, rost vegtables n grilled meat). i also have an afternoon snack, then i have dinner. Any suggestions I am looking at starting Whey proten for my snack or breakfast but other than that i am not sure i have untill feb 9 2013 to reach my goal n need to loss just another 5-10 kgs. Also i only drink water or green tea and very rearly drink alchol usually it's a glass of wine only on special occasions.

I don't weigh and measure everything but I will weigh and measure for a few days every month so I can get a feel for what I am eating and when I need to cut back. Weigh and measure a stir-fry and a soup and then you will know what the good ones look like and can stop being strict.

I tracked my Calories for two weeks using calori counter on my iphone i found i was alway going over the recomended and started stressing so i have stoped and have decided to avoid weighing myself untill the end of each month.

those two items alone will have a huge impact on your weight loss or lack of.....try sticking with fixing those items first and get well then the weight loss will come

I agree. Lose the fruit/nuts and up the good fats.

I might try having more fats in my diet, i have looked at eatting nuts as they have natural fats and even eatting more meats.

Thank you for the advice, i don't eat any patatoes so may look at including them ever nom and them.

I have been having test as i do have gut and Unflammation problems, i also have insomnia witch i get my good and bad nights but usually aim for at least 8 hrs sleep.

Less fruit and nuts. More fat.

Track your calories for a week. I wouldn't suggest living life this way but for a week to get a feel for what you are doing it isn't a bad plan.

I'd keep the fruit personally. I would avoid the whey, anything with the word "bar" in it. I'd eat yams, rice, and potatoes. Perhaps try to off-set a reduction in fruit with starch to see how you feel.

I don't personally think we should fear fat but the mantra of "more fat, more fat" when you are trying to lean out doesn't work well in my experience. This is based on 150lbs of weightloss over two years with more to lose.... YMMV

What about eating a bit more fat at your meals and skipping snack? Have you looked at your sleep? Do you keep enough time for yourself to relax? Stress hormones can definitely hinder weight loss. Do you have any unresolved gut issues? Inflammation can also prevent weight loss!

I was afraid of fats for the longest time..I followed paleo while I did crossfit and never could seem to lean out. I started competitive weightlifting about six months ago, and my coach has since gotten me eating a high fat/high protein/very low carb diet. I can honestly say I am now having trouble keeping my weight UP, I am lean, stronger, and feel AMAZING . you body NEEDS fats, it NEEDS cholesterol to function, dont let anyone tell you otherwise. I suggest quit counting calories...eat when you are hungry, eat real foods, centered around protein. And dont focus on the number on the scale...focus on what your body can do. if you ever have the time, watch the documentary "Fathead." Its quite long but talks alot about the importance of fat and protein in the diet. good luck, and remember, dont be scared to EAT!
