What blog do you get the best recipes from?

by (4240) Updated October 20, 2013 at 3:05 PM Created August 18, 2011 at 2:06 AM

What blog do you get the best recipes from? Ideally I'd like to find one or two blogs that feature simple recipes - I find some blogged recipes require more skill and/or more time than I have.

elise at simply recipes is my favorite. its not a paleo blog (oh horror!) but she tags things with gluten free and low carb. many of her recipes are either already paleo compliant or very easily adaptable. she loves simple, seasonable, delicious food.

my favorite paleo food blog is also the food lovers primal palate.

I like Health-Bent because the recipes don't have the crazy ingredients that always take an extra trip to the store.

I work a 40 hour a week job, teach boxing and tai-chi, am married, exercise daily, and write for magazines and my own personal blog.

Between all that, I find the time to cook most of my meals at home, which necessitates that they are quick, simple, easy, healthy (paleo/primal) and relatively inexpensive.

You can check out the over 130 recipes that I have posted so far by visiting Caveman Cuisine on FED - Fitness in an Evolutionary Direction.

www.chowstalker.com is fantastic; a lot of contributed recipes are from Jan's Sushi Bar, the Food Lovers, & The Clothes Make the Girl. I also love everydaypaleo.com- Danielle and I met Sarah Fragoso at AHS and she was one of the sweetest people ever.

Chowstalker.com definitely (though I mostly peruse food52.com and seriouseats.com and paleo-ify as needed). The only recipe blog I follow is Russ's thedomesticman.com Really like the traditional cultures bent to his site.

I love this recipe ! Reminds me of you making soap at home, Mom. And it's fun to see photos of your house there and see Dad in that comfy chair we sat in when we visited, attempting to use the slow internet :)

I can't wait to hear how the soap turned out in terms of using it. Does it smell different since it is made with animal fat? Any other differences from vegetable-based soap?

Love you!

I have been finding great stuff on pinterest - it is a visual bookmarking site. I search out paleo or primal every few days and have been finding tons! Here is the list I am keeping http://pinterest.com/fondalashay/traditional-paleo-gaps-grain-free

I also like to keep up with NomNomPaleo - Marks Daily Apple - The Healthy Home Economist (she has some with traditional grains, I skip it) -This Primal Life

well-- there are lots.. ill stop here
